Breed History

Developed in East Anglia, England in the 1880s as a rugged earth-dog for ratting and fox bolting. Originally grouped with Norfolk Terrier until official separation in 1964 based on ear carriage (Norwich has prick ears). Recognized by AKC in 1979.
